Book of Life at SDCC 2014

San Diego Comic Con has started off with a BANG!  And in its usual fashion, SDCC has set up a fantastic selection of movies, tv, comics, and anything else you can possibly imagine.  What did this day have in store for us?  Well, none other than The Book of Life!  This beautiful animated movie stars the voices of Diego Luna as Manolo, Zoe Saldana as Maria, and Channing Tatum as Joaquin.  Now, there are a slew of talented actors voicing this movie, so I am only going to list who was at SDCC.  If you want to know who else you can hear, go to IMDB.com.

SDCC sets up a step-and-repeat wall where you get to VERY QUICKLY, take photos of the celebrities.  First on the list of people I saw was the director, Jorge Gutierrez.

Next, was one of my all-time favorite directors, Guillermo del Toro!  I have been to almost every panel this man has done on the west coast and I am never disappointed with ANYTHING he brings!  He is a truly gifted man!  Okay, now that I am done with expressing my love for this man’s creativity (trust me…  I am keeping it short and sweet)…  He too lends his voice to this movie.

Now, of course I have to follow Guillermo del Toro with his favorite little Hell Boy (ok… not so little), the amazing Ron Perlman! I don’t know if you are thinking this too, but I imagine his mug shot would look like this too…

Book of Life2

Oh, and is that Christina Applegate with him?  It sure is!

And finally, we have that beautiful specimen of a man…  Mr. Magic Mike himself Channing Tatum!

Book of Life4

Since there were no round tables, I didn’t get to interview them.  At least we got these great photos!  Thanks for posing everyone!
